I was very skeptical that anyone could tame my frizzy dry curls and I never thought that anything could be done after one visit but Laurie proved me wrong. She made a complete transformation in one visit and took so much time with me explaining/teaching me how to care for and style my hair. She goes above and beyond any hair stylist that I have ever had. I finally love my hair and my curls after fighting them for 25+ years.

I've been seeing Laurie for years. I've never been pleased with my hair or stylist until her. I've straightened, used hot iron,dryer and numerous products and styles. I finally decided to try a DēvaCurl stylist 3 years and I have no idea why I waited so long!! I drive over an hour to see Laurie Cain because she is simply the best! Laurie has made a big difference with my natural curly hair, in fact Laurie has made me love curls again. The Deva Cut that Laurie does makes my curls MUCH more manageable and my morning routine less of a headache. Laurie is VERY knowledgeable of all Deva products and curly hair life. Found Laurie on this site and made a Deva Transformation appointment. I was looking for someone to help me learn how to care for my curls, and to give me a few different styling options. Laurie was fantastic! She was patient and explained every step in detail. Even though I had not scheduled a cut for that day we agreed on shaping up my hair and adding some layers and she did it that day. There was no pressure to purchase the products she used but she did send samples home with me of a few products and I went ahead and purchased cleanser and conditioner. It has been two weeks since my experience with Laurie. I’ll be back in a few months to have things shaped up again! If you have curls, or are not sure if your frizz could be curls, go see Laurie. She is fantastic!!!!

Laurie did my 2nd ever Devacut back in March and a trim just the other week. Both cuts came out great, especially the 3rd one. She even offered to fix the 2nd one for free after I decided about 2 weeks later that I wanted it a tad bit shorter. She answers any and all questions I have, and is so friendly during appointments, and cares enough to offer water and product samples every visit. She's the only Deva-licensed stylist in my area and knows how to cut natural black hair, which is VERY important. I plan to go see her again in a few months for another trim and possibly some highlights. Go see Laurie!

Laurie is phenomenal!!! I never knew I had such curly hair until she showed me with the right cut (devacut) and devacurl products I can have a head full of hydrated curls. My hair was just a frizz ball and now I love it! No heating tools required! As if having great hair wasn’t enough Laurie is the sweetest, most genuine person that has ever cut my hair. I was in there yesterday telling her about my friends and she gave me free samples to give them and cards with $25 off their first devacut!!

If you've never experienced a deva cut/wash/style/"special treatment" then you are missing out! This process is a MUST for first time or from time to time - I got such an education as Laurie cut, cleansed, conditioned and applied product to...then styled my hair. Learning about the process and the products used, along with tips and tricks made this service totally worth it!
